Vila Luz - Praia Da Luz

The staff is phenominal. Never have experienced more accommodating and better service anywhere in the world. Gordon is fantastic. We found that the apart hotel is better than renting a house (for the kids). The swimming pool outside of our room, bar, and ocean views were fantastic.

Besides, the location was lovely for our stay, within 10 minutes' walk of Luz Beach. The breakfasts were superb and amazing and the service was great!

I stayed at the Aparthotel Vila Luz with my 2 young children aged 3 & 6, it is a quiet resort even at the end of August and it was very relaxing. The apartment and facilities where spotless and standards where high, beds and sofa bed where very comfy and rooms well equipped. Views where amazing also, pools where cold but it didn't put the kids off. If your looking for an area with lots of nightlife or activity than this is probably not for you, but if you want a quiet, relaxed and friendly resort I would highly recommend it!! It is a bit of a way out from supermarkets, restaurants and beach but all can be walked in 10-15 mins and that was with 2 kids dragging their feet and a taxi back from the supermarket was less than 5 euros. I hope to return as we had an amazing time!!

Enjoyed awesome staff and reasonably spacious hotel.

I booked a room with a soft bed, it's own balcony and closet space. Need to add that the garden view was a good bonus. The location was charming and simple, in centre, in the lovely area. I've had a fantastic stay for 2 extra nights.

Hotel was spotless. Room was modern and spacious with plenty of storage Water and fruit supplied on arrival. Pool area was clean and relaxing. Comfy sunbeds. Free internet. Room safe included in price. Staff were friendly helpful and attentive. Nothing was any bother.

The apartment could have benefitted with a toaster and some more coathangers

The hotel was nicely designed and clean, had magnificent views at the beautiful garden and pool and the sea. The breakfast was tasteful and amazing, I enjoyed brilliant eggs and bacon. Its location relatively near Luz Beach was lovely.

Rooms cleaned and towels cleaned daily. Seperate towels provided for the sun beds.

Breakfast could be improved.

Request a room away from the main entrance for a quieter experience, especially during busy seasons.

Modern, well equiped appartment, very clean with a very comfortable bed, big bathroom and big leaving area. We have got a room with direct access to the swimming pool and the view of the see. The terasses of the appartments although located next to each other, guarantee some privacy. Not too many guests around the swimming pools.

The breakfast starts only at 9:00am. There was not much choice, only juice, coffee and toasts. But it was very tasteful. There is also no direct access to the beach. One needs a car to drive to the beach in Luz or to one beyond Burgau.

We felt that the hotel was very comfortable and the decor was bright and cheery.The views from our balcony were the best we have ever had on holiday. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Danniela, who was a ray of sunshine !! Our room was very welcoming and very comfortable. This was our fourth visit to Pria de Luz and easily the most enjoyable, we hope to return to this lovely spot.

The breakfasts were a bit repetitive and perhaps could offer a more varied selection. Other than that we had no complaints whatsoever.

Sehr nettes Personal. Wir hatten ueberall in Portugal gute Erfahrungen, aber von unseren 10 Hotels war dieses herausragend. Schoene ruhige Lage. Geraeumiges, helles, gepflegtes Appartment. Sehr gutes Fruehstueck. Optimale Lage, wenn man keinen Hausstrand mit dem zugehoerigen Trubel will, sondern alle Straende der westlichen Algarve erkunden will. Dazu startet man mit dem kuehlen Mietwagen bequem aus der Tiefgarage.

Es gibt nicht wirklich etwas zu verbessern. Wenn überhaupt: Ein großer Kochtopf und eine Salatschüssel (ein Appartment hat man ja zum selber kochen).

We spend in Vila Luz 9 nights. Very good, nice and silent hotel. The pool is small, but enough for not so many people living in the hotel. Quiet neighborhood, about 15 minutes walking distance to the beach,( but it's not very big problem)... Room was cleaned every day. The staff is very nice and helpful. We really recommend this hotel for holiday.

Only thing is that the bar has too little choice of snacks, maybe because the apartament are with the kitchenette..

Ten minutes walk to city centre where you an eat. There you can find also a public beach. Hotel is about 150m from the sea and from the roof you can have good views. Our balcony was towards hotel private swimming pool. Car can be parked in garage. We would absolutely stay here again.

Tv was mounted to the wall and it was not very nice to watch it from the bed.

The location was quite convenient for us as we were visiting the western Algarve. A bit far from any city centre but good location if you intend to drive around that area. Very nice apartment with a nice balcony and view on the ocean

Very limited choces for breakfast - toasts and joghurt + fruit. We stayed there only 3 nights and it was ok, but definitely not sufficient for a londer stay.
